Depth Stop for No. 271 Small Router Plane

Brass depth stop makes it easy to cut predetermined depth repeatedly.

Use the depth stop to cut to a specific depth. Set the blade to the finish depth, then set the stop all the way down and tighten the thumbscrew on the stop. Then raise the blade back up to take your first shaving. Advance your depth of cut incrementally until the depth stop prevents you from going deeper.

N.B. router plane not included.  

Also, this accessory is for the 271 small routers only, the large router comes with a depth stop.
