All Lie-Nielsen's planes offer superb performance, straight out of the box, only requiring honing to begin. This plane can produce perfectly straight boards for edge or face laminations, all their planes ( except the No. 1), are bedrock design for an adjustable mouth to enable smooth cuts while reducing tear-out—fast, quiet, and accurate, a pure pleasure to use.

This is our most popular jointer. 22" (55.9cm) long, with a 2-3/8" (6cm) x .140" (3.55mm) thick Tool Steel blade. Ground flat, within .001" (.0254mm) over the full length and square within .001". Bronze frog and cap. 8¼ lbs.
